Munnar-Thekkad-Kumarakom-Alleppey-Cochin
Itinerary
Day 1
Cochin Arrival –Munnar(140 kms/04 hrs):
Arrival at Cochin airport/ railway station. Transfer to Munnar. This beautiful hill station was once the summer capital of the British Government in India. The never ending, vast expanse of tea plantations and the round the year moderate climate makes it a little haven for visitors. The day at leisure. Dinner at Hotel Night stay at Munnar.
Day 2
Munnar:
After Breakfast, Visit to Rajamala-(house of the highly endangered mountain goats), the Nilgiri Thars, Lakkam waterfalls – whichis accessible by a short trek through the forest. In the Afternoon, visit Echo point and Mattupetty Dam. Speed boating facilities are available here. The dam is flanked by forests and vast expanse of grass land on one side and the Kundala tea plantation on the other. Dinner at Hotel and Night stay at Munnar.
Day 3
Munnar – Thekkady (100kms/02 hrs):
After Breakfast, proceed for Thekkady. On Arrival, check in at hotel. In the afternoon, visit the Periyar Lake around which the sanctuary is built, for boating. This is the only sanctuary in India where you can have the unique experience of viewing the wild life at close quarters from the safety of a boat. Dinner at Hotel and Night Stay in Thekkady.
Day 4
Thekkady–Kumarakom (135 kms/03 hrs):
After breakfast, drive to Kumarakom. By noon, check in at the resort. Rest of the time for leisure. Dinner at Hotel and Night stay at Kumarakom.
Day 5
Kumarakom – Kovalam (175 kms /05 hrs):
After breakfast, proceed to Kovalam and check in at the hotel. Activities: Visit to Kovalam beach in the evening. Dinner at Hotel and Night stay at Kovalam.
Day 6
Kovalam
In Morning after breakfast, proceed for a tour to Trivandrum. Activities: Visit Napier Museum, Sri Padmanabha Swamy Temple, Trivandrum Zoo. Spend the evening back at the Kovalam beach. Dinner at Hotel and Night stay at Kovalam.
Day 7
Kovalam – Trivandrum (Tour ends):
In the Morning after breakfast, proceed to Trivandrum/Cochin airport / railway station for onward journey.
