Itinerary
Day 1
Istanbul (-):
arrive and transfer to your hotel. Afternoon, depart for a half-day Bosphorus Cruise. Take in the sights and sounds of this legendary waterway lined with historic villages, grand wooden mansions, imposing fortresses, and the Baroque summer palaces of the late Ottoman sultans. After the cruise, visit the Spice Bazaar (closed on Sundays), a thrilling riot of colours, sounds, and the rich smells of exot
Day 2
Istanbul (B):
After breakfast, depart for a half-day sightseeing tour of old Istanbul. Visit St. Sophia (On Mondays replaced by the Chora Church Museum), built in the 6th century AD. Its massive dome dominates the skyline of old Istanbul. Next, visit the Blue Mosque, which owes its name to the exquisite tiles adorning its interior. It is the only imperial mosque with six minarets. Walk through the Hippodrome, the stadium of the ancient Byzantium era..Finish the tour at the Grand Bazaar ( Sunday closed ) Its 4,000 shops are full of treasures – including carpets and kilims, silks, jewellery, ceramics, icons, and leather goods. Overnight in Istanbul.
Day 3
Istanbul / Cappadocia (B/D):
Breakfast. Transfer to the airport for flight to Kayseri. Arrive and start the sightseeing including; Devrent Valley, Monks Valley, Avanos, Goreme Open Air Museum, Uchisar, Kizilcukur, Cavusin, Guvercinlik and one of the undergroud cities, Kaymakli or Derinkuyu. This tour is divided into 2 days with lunch. Overnight in Cappadocia.
Day 4
Cappadocia (B/L/D):
After breakfast start the sightseeing of the area including; Devrent Valley, Monks Valley, Avanos, Goreme Open Air Museum, Uchisar, Kizilcukur, Cavusin, Guvercinlik and one of the undergroud cities, Kaymakli or Derinkuyu. This tour is divided into 2 days with lunch. Overnight in Cappadocia.
Day 5
Cappadocia To Pamukkale (B,D):
Drive to Pamukkale. En route visit the famous mouseleum of the sufi philosopher Mevlana. Next a secenic drive to Pamukkale and check in the hotel. Overnight in Pamukkale.
Day 6
Pamukkale / Ephesus & St. Marys House / Kusadasi (B,D):
Today in the early morning visit the unique Cotton Fortress, the white calcium cascades, and later visit to one of the first modern spa centers of the ancient World, Hierapolis. Then we drive on to tour the famous ruins of Ephesus and St. Mary’s cottage. Overnight in Kusadasi.
Day 7
Kusadasi (B/L/D):
Breakfast. Depart for the sightseeing of Ephesus Visit the HOUSE of the VIRGIN MARY, where she spent her last days, see the spectacular ruins from the period of St. Paul, some of which are recently excavated. See the ODEON, BOULETERION, FOUNTAINS, TEMPLES, BROTHEL, LIBRARY, AGORA, GREAT THEATER, GYMNASIUMS, DOUBLE CHURCH, STADIUM. After lunch, visit the ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM, TEMPLE OF DIANA (One of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world.)” Overnight in Kusadasi.
Day 8
Istanbul (B,D):
After breakfast transfer to the airport for flight to Istanbul. Free at leisure or take one of the optional tours. Tonight enjoy a typical Turkish Belly Dance Show with continental food and limited local drinks. Overnight in Istanbul.
Day 9
Istanbul – Home(B):
Breakfast. Tranfser to the airport in time for your departure flight home.
