Day 1

Arrival Phnom Penh – City tour:

Arrival at Siem Reap International Airport, Transfer to your hotel for check in, After a brief rest, visit the Independence Monument, and the National Museum, also called Muse des Beaux-Arts. French archaeologist and painter, Georges Groslier, designed the museum in Khmer style in 1917. The museum contains a collection of Khmer art – notably sculptures – throughout the ages.

Visit the Royal Palace, built by King Norodom in 1866 on the site of the old town and the Silver Pagoda. Located within the grounds of the Royal Palace, the Silver Pagoda is so named because of its floor, which is made up of 5,000 silver tiles.

End your afternoon with a visit to the citys namesake, Wat Phnom. Founded in 1373, the pagoda was built to house Buddhist relics washed ashore by the river.

Day 2

Phnom Penh – Siem Reap

Breakfast at your hotel, Transfer to airport for your short flight to Siem Reap.

Transfer to Hotel for Check in, Visit the Roluos Group. The monuments of Roluos, which served as the capital of Indravarman I (reigned 877-89), are among the earliest large, permanent temples built by the Khmers and mark the beginning of Khmer classical art.

Then visit Preah Ko erected by Indravarman in the late 9th century dedicated by the King to his ancestors in 880.

Visit Bakong the largest and most interesting of the Roluos group temples with his active Buddhist monastery just to the north of the east entrance.

Visit Lolei built on an islet in the center of a large reservoir (now rice fields) by Yasovarman I, the founder to the first city at Angkor.

Day 3

Angkor Thom

Breakfast at the Hotel, Visit the wonderful Angkor Thom (the Great City) including the Southern Gate, The famous Bayon temple built in the 12th century in the centre of the city remains one the most enigmatic temples of the Angkor group. The temple is composed of 54 gothic towers, decorated with 216 smiling faces of Avalokitesvara, Visit Baphuon temple which lies just north of Bayon a pyramidal representation of mythical Mount Meru.

Afterwards visit the Terrace of Elephants, used as a giant reviewing stand for public ceremonies and served as a base for the king’s grand audience hall.

Then Terrace of the Leper King a platform 7m high, with a statue.

In the afternoon visit the wonderful Angkor Wat Temples one of the seven greatest architectural wonders of the world, built as a temple and mausoleum for King Suryavarman II at the peak of the Khmer empire in the first half of 12th.

In the late afternoon, visit the Phnom Bakheng temple which was the first temple to be built in Angkor region by king Yacovarman I in the 9th century. The temple is located on a slope of a hill. Tourists gather on the hilltop to capture a memorable moment of the spectacular view of Angkor Wat in the jungle and Tonle Sap Lake from a distance.

In the evening savour a delicious dinner while enjoying an exclusive cultural show the Apsara Dance.

Day 4

Ta Prohm

In the morning after Breakfast visit Ta Prohm, one of the areas most beautiful temples. Ta Prohm has been left relatively untouched since it was discovered and retains much of its mystery.

Visit Takeo.

Visit Thommanon, a small attractive temple in very good condition built at the same time as Angkor Wat. Its Angkor Wat style is obvious in the style of the carved Apsaras and the shape of the tower, Chaosay Tevoda. The temple seems to stand in partnership with Thommanon but actually was built much later in Suryavarman II’ s rule.

In the afternoon, travel through the traditional village of Preah Dark to the 12th century temple of Banteay Samre. Built by King Suryavarman II, the genius behind Angkor Wat, this temple has been extensively restored.

Continue further north to Banteay Srei, Angkors ultimate art gallery. This petite pink temple is the jewel in the crown of Angkor-era sculpture.

Day 5

Siem Reap – Onward Destination

Breakfast at the hotel before continuing your last trip to Kampong Phluk. Kampong Phluk is a commune and a village in Siem Reap Province in north central Cambodia. It is a floating village on the Tonle Sap.

Transfer to Siem Reap International Airport for departure flight to the next destination.
